Opened in the late 1800s, the prison now called the Old Jail Museum has collected its fair share of scary stories and ghost tales. Take a guided tour of the cells, hallways and gallows, learn about the capture and on-site deaths of seven accused Molly Maguires, a secret group of Irish criminals believed to be behind a series of kidnappings and other crimes in the late 1870s. The old prison is on the southern end of town, not far from the Asa Packer Mansion, which serves as a stark contrast to this dark, haunted facility.
